Boko Haram Attack 2 Prominent Emirs In Borno, 1 Reportedly Dead

Fighters of the Islamist sect, Boko Haram have kidnapped two first class traditional rulers in Borno state – the Emir of Uba, Ismaila Mamza and the Emir of Gwoza, Idrisa Timta, Premium Times reports.

The emirs were said to be travelling this morning, May 30, 2014 to Gombe for the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar who died of cancer on Tuesday at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London.

The Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta died during a shootout by the gunmen suspected to be members of the Islamist extremist sect, Boko Haram.

The emir of Uba narrowly escaped death, while many entourages of the emirs are still missing.
